Nicholas Lambes
Assistant Band Director
Nicholas Lambes is the Assistant Band Director and Choral Director at Vancleave High School. The 2022-2023 school year marks his 3rd year teaching at Vancleave and his 9th year in education. Prior to teaching at VHS, Mr. Lambes served as the Music Teacher Central Elementary in Pascagoula where he taught a wide variety of instrumental and vocal music.

Mr. Lambes received his bachelor's degree in music education from the University of Southern Mississippi, where he served as section leader in the Pride of Mississippi Marching Band. He holds endorsements in both instrumental and vocal music education. During his time at USM, he also performed in the Symphonic Winds, Saxophone Quartet, and the Saxophone Chamber Orchestra. As a member of the USM Saxophone Studio, his primary instructor was esteemed American classical saxophonist Dr. Lawrence Gwozdz. Prior to attending USM, Mr. Lambes received his associate's degree from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College where also served as section leader in the Band of Gold in addition to performing in the Symphonic Winds, Jazz Band, and Woodwind Ensemble.

Mr. Lambes graduated from Vancleave High School and met his wife, Mariah, as a member of the band. Together they have two incredible children, Lucas and Lydia. Mr. Lambes is thrilled to teach and serve in the community that helped him become the person he is today.
